Construction Tutor / Assessor

• Annual Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
• Location: East Midlands 
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly organised and qualified Construction Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will embrace our ethos to ensure the highest quality learner completion, delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, and support, specialising in Construction theory and Health and Safety.

• Deliver a pre-defined curriculum to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of learners.
• Complete all learner and course-related documentation, including learner files and relevant tracking documents.
• Mentor, observe, and assess learners in the classroom and/or workshop, providing feedback and guidance to ensure learning standards are met.
• Offer information, advice, and guidance to promote learner development and progression.
• Meet company, funding, and awarding organisation requirements.
• Assess learners’ e-portfolio of evidence to verify achievements have been met.

• Experience of classroom-based delivery and working with a diverse range of learners.
• IT literate with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Enthusiasm and ability to work well under pressure.
• Relevant occupational expertise and knowledge in the Construction industry with Level 3 competencies.
• Continued professional development within the occupational sector.

Qualifications:

• A teaching qualification at a minimum of PTLLS or Level 3 AET.
• An assessor award or qualification.
• A level 3 qualification or occupational competence.
• Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.
