Consultant Employment Lawyer (Remote Working)

An ideal opportunity has arisen for an Employment Lawyer to join a London based specialist employment law firm. They are seeking for an Employment Lawyer that wants to develop their expertise with the flexibility to work from home. Although they do have office space in Central London and there will be opportunity to work there too.

Your principal function will be working as an employment lawyer fee earner servicing employees (negotiating exits, advising on settlement agreements, advice and employment tribunal litigation). You will have the opportunity to work with other experienced fee earners and will have some support from a trainee solicitor. You will be provided with both leads and converted cases and the required support to build a successful case load.

You will have the flexibility to manage your own time and work and there are no billing targets.

The Role

  • You will manage your own client/cases on a consultancy basis and be remunerated via a fee share. You will receive both leads and ready to go instructions.
  • The work will be exclusively employment for individuals (negotiating exits, settlement agreements, advice and Tribunal work).


This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and help people solve their employment law problems in an expanding Law Firm. You will work with autonomy and not be subjected to unnecessary meetings or supervision. The successful candidate will have experience of managing their own caseload and provide first-rate client service. Previous experience as an employment lawyer is a must.

The Firm

They are a specialist employment law firm that represents individuals. The Firm was founded by a specialist employment law barrister.

They cover all areas of employment law, with a focus on negotiating exits and employment tribunal litigation.

They are London based, but they represent clients nationwide. Currently, they are working remotely, which has been very successful for them. There is no need to be London based, although the initial onboarding process may take place in person at their London office unless this is not feasible.

The Candidate

  • An experienced employment lawyer (Claimant experience required).
  • A desire to help individuals is required.
  • Self-sufficient and motivated with a passion for access to justice.
  • A proven track record of the work they undertake (negotiating exits, advice, settlement agreements, employment tribunal litigation).
  • Respondent experience is desirable.
  • Supervision experience is desirable.
