Charity Fundraising Contact Centre Agent / Telephone Fundraiser who is passionate about helping others and making a real impact in raising essential funds for vital services is required to join a friendly and supportive team at a well-established Charity.

This role is known within the organisation as a Telefundraising Executive

ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED

If you have experience working in either a call centre, customer service, sales / telesales, direct marketing / telemarketing or within a similar environment and have excellent customer service and communication skills, then we’d love to hear from you.

SALARY: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum + Generous Benefits

BENEFITS: 26 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays. Includes a generous pension scheme, life assurance and enhanced pay for parenting and sickness leave. In addition, an Employee Assistance Programme, flexible benefits package and discounts and cashback scheme.

LOCATION: Remote / Home-based working. However, candidates living within a commutable distance have the option to work 1 day per week from the office in Reading, Berkshire

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Charity Fundraising Contact Centre Agent / Telephone Fundraiser who has experience working in either a call centre, customer service, sales / telesales or direct marketing / telemarketing with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Working as a Charity Fundraising Contact Centre Agent / Telephone Fundraiser you will play a crucial role in raising essential funds through outbound calls, which provides vital services to people living with sight loss.

As the Charity Fundraising Contact Centre Agent / Telephone Fundraiser you will need a professional and polite telephone manner with the ability to build rapport with existing and potential supporters, promoting the charity’s mission and current marketing campaigns.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Charity Fundraising Contact Centre Agent / Telephone Fundraiser include:

  • Fundraising Outreach: You will make outbound calls to both existing and potential supporters, engaging them in the charity’s mission and helping raise vital funds to support the charity. You’ll achieve both personal and team targets, maximising return on investment
  • Champion The Cause: Be the voice of the charity, representing current marketing campaigns like Sponsor A Puppy, Lucky Lottery, Gift Aid, and Legacy. You’ll passionately share the charity’s vision and purpose, inspiring supporters to contribute to the charity’s work
  • Supporter Satisfaction: You’ll balance income generation with exceptional customer care, ensuring our supporters feel valued and heard while driving the charity’s success. Your ability to listen, build rapport, and provide exceptional service will be crucial
  • Continuous Improvement: You’ll offer feedback on campaigns to help improve performance and income, playing an integral part in our ongoing success
  • Collaborative Spirit: You will assist in training and supporting your colleagues, contributing to team goals and the overall strategic direction of the telefundraising efforts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Confident and enthusiastic, with a friendly and professional phone manner with the ability to build rapport with supporters
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal communication
  • Call centre, customer service, sales or marketing experience
  • Worked within a target driven environment
  • A proven track record and experience in a results-driven telemarketing environment and of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience of using databases
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in the Charity sector
  • Experience of training colleagues
  • Ideally outbound call experience
