We're looking for a Container Repairer Supervisor to lead our team of Container Repairers at our new London Gateway depot. The successful candidate will supervise all container repair activities, drive high performance and efficiency amongst the operational teams. This role will work with the Container Depot Manager to ensure continual development of processes and procedures and ensure revenue is maximized.

Skills and experience you'll bring to us

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in container repairing operation.
  • Forklift Driving experience. (Must have license)
  • ECH certification preferred but training can be provided.
  • Experience estimating damaged containers.
  • Maximise Operational efficiency and the elimination of avoidable cost/waste/loss.
  • Good Knowledge of M&R standards (IICL, Cedex codes, CSC)
  • Maximise M&R revenue and business growth from new and existing customers.
  • Deliver the Medlog Customer Experience and live the brand values.
  • Improve the speed, efficiency & accuracy of internal operating processes.
  • Develop the individual and collective skills, knowledge, and motivation of the team.
  • Contribute to a positive work climate through a flexible attitude to work and support for colleagues and other team members.
  • Ability to manage an operation within a demanding and changing environment.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and motivate others.

How you will help us and what you can expect

  • Comply with all company health and safety policies.
  • Complete regular health and safety audits to meet business demands.
  • Ensure all routine equipment pre and post repair inspections are completed and recorded in line with company repair standards.
  • Day-to-day supervision of Container Repairers and act as point of escalation
  • Accurate & timely preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports for Medlog Geneva and UK Management.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed as quickly as possible in line with company repair standards
  • Assist when needed with all the other aspects of yard/operation (including inspection and estimating, Flexi tanks fitting/removal, GOH removal, floor repairs, spray painting, fitting and fixing tarpaulins)
  • Ensure all employees wear their PPE supplied by the company and check that all equipment is in date and legal and that replacement articles are ordered and received through London Gateway
  • Ongoing performance Management and Personal Development plans for the team, with regular one to one meetings
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members
  • To ensure repair material stocks are control and kept up to date
