Location: London

Contract Length – 3 Months Initially (Average Contractor Tenure is 9 months)

Determination – Outside of IR35

Day Rate - £350 - £450

Reporting To – Head of Content

Hybrid Working: 2 days in office minimum, this is an FCA-regulated business so office presence is required.

I’m working with a Payments company based in London that is looking to add a  Content Strategist  to lead the rebuild of their content library for the company , this is an interim role for 3 months initially but could up to a year, they are looking to transform their content internally so could be a much bigger contract. The company has grown into a major player in the Payment/Fintech space they have decided to appoint a Content Marketer to assist with their new direction  

The brand is a well-established player in the Payment space so a good understanding of how a fast-paced fintech works is required. Experience in a traditional FS setting is a little slow-paced for them.

The role is going to be part of the team that champions content across the business and be the day-to-day manager of content output for the team, as they continue to focus on expansion you will work with the CMO and CPO to support Marketing activities and create a best-in-class content marketing function

Outside of the day-to-day management of content, the role will also have the opportunity to get involved with wider marketing and ABM. They have created a new team structure which will enable them to build teams beneath the leadership team.

The role is based in London and will be required to be in the office 2 days a week for team-related collaboration.

Role responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for leading the Content Strategy across the business
  • Create a raft of content for marketing and supporting the sales journey
  • Working with the CMO & CPO to build marketing strategies with content at the heart.
  • Review & approve marketing content produced both internally and via an agency
  • Pragmatically approach projects to ensure both creative and business needs are met.
  • Keeping project stakeholders well briefed on current timings, status and potential issues.
  • Instigate & lead  project kickoff meetings with stakeholders to highlight the value of content across the business.



The Content Strategist role requires the following experience: 

  • An outstanding experience in Content Marketing
  • Ideally a background in journalism either Professionally or in Education
  • Experience creating content for Payment or Fintech
  • Experience working in a start-up or low bureaucratic business environment
  • Experience working in a consultative not combative business environment would be beneficial.
