Method Resourcing have partnered with a rapidly growing UK-based insurance services partner who are going from strength-to-strength in their growth as they look to add a Contract BI Developer into their team.

The role: This role will involve preparing the Company's SQL Server based data warehouse ETL processes for an imminent large increase in data volumes. This will involve examining the end-to-end DWH ETL process (both SSIS and native T-SQL) and optimising wherever possible. In parallel to this, they will be migrating their current on-premise SQL Server platform to Azure.

Ideal candidate experience:

  • The ability to pick up already-identified ETL processes, SSIS and native T-SQL, and re-engineer to improve daily ETL run-times to continue to meet business needs.
  • Examine the end-to-end ETL process (SSIS and native T-SQL) and recommend possible improvements.
  • To ensure all improvements made are documented in detail where necessary.
  • Provide expertise regarding the migration of the current SQL Server DWH on-premise platform to an Azure cloud environment.
  • Use experience to mentor existing developers in advanced SQL optimisation techniques plus Cloud migration.
  • Design and build new ETL processes relating to new business requirements using a combination of SSIS packages and native T-SQL stored procedures.

Contract:

  • Day rate: £550 Per Day - £600 Per Day
  • Contract: 6 months initially
  • Start: ASAP
  • IR35: Outside
  • Working pattern: 1 day a week in London
