Contract Manager (Utilities)

Bedford (Hybrid Working)

£45,000

Permanent (Full Time 37 hours a week)

We are currently seeking a Contract Manager (Utilities) to join our Asset Strategy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring and managing our Utilities contracts as well as ensuring we remain compliant with regulatory requirements in relation to our heat networks. The team is friendly and welcoming and will support the successful candidate with appropriate training/learning.

What you will be doing:??

  • Working with the wider business to ensure our utilities broker is providing value for money

  • Managing the re-procurement of our commercial gas and electricity supplies and our utilities broker and metering and billing agent

  • Working with the wider business to ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements in relation to the management of our heat networks

  • Collate and submit regulatory information and business data internally and externally when required

  • Managing our EV charging point suppliers and supporting the wider business to manage them effectively

  • Ensure our PV panels are generating feed in tariffs where eligible

  • Engage with residents around any projects/procurements which may impact them/their services

We’d love to meet someone with:? ?

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Experience of working in any or all the following industries Social Housing/Utilities/Heat Networks/EV chargers/budget management

  • Experience of writing business reports and good IT skills

  • To demonstrate excellent customer care and show an understanding and commitment to equality and diversity.

  • Ability to work flexibly, without guidance but also be committed to work in a positive manner with both internal and external stakeholders?
