We are currently partnered with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Contract Wordings Analyst to join their growing team.

My client is looking for someone with at least 2 years Wordings experience within the London Market. They cover a range of classes including Casualty, Crisis Management, Property, Marine, Energy and Specialty, so experience within at least one of these would be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with underwriters to assist in addressing coverage and regulatory issues during the risk placement process.
  • Up-keeping and enhancing our internal wording resources and databases.
  • Enhancing the technical expertise of our underwriters through training and development on contractual matters.
  • Enforcing our underwriting standards and controls when finalising contracts.
  • Representing the company in the market to offer solutions for new risks and legal developments.
  • Embracing a diverse international portfolio, working closely with colleagues in Europe and the USA for a varied workload.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in the Lloyd's market, including exposure to either Open Market or DA business.
  • Experience in drafting contracts with a keen eye for detail.
  • A deep understanding of insurance products and their value to customers from a commercial perspective.
  • The confidence to make coverage decisions, articulate the reasoning behind them, and assess the significance of technical details.
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Word and document formatting.
  • Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team.
