A Contract Officer is required for an established not-for-profit organisation in Doncaster. This role will be part of the Procurement & Supply Chain team and will be responsible for managing and negotiating contracts with suppliers.

Description

  • Manage supplier contracts and relationships effectively.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist with the development of procurement strategies and plans.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Profile

The successful Contract Officer should have:

  • Understanding of procurement processes and contract management.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret contract terms.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is beneficial but not essential.
