Job Title - Control Engineer

Location & flexibility - Swindon - onsite

Salary - £45,000 - £53,000 DOE

About the Job -

This role is to support the ongoing engineering development and maintenance of the Compressed Bio-Methane (CBM) process plant at Swindon through the management of the plant control system.

The Commissioning Department is responsible for undertaking and coordinating all commissioning and optimisation activities for all new installations at the Swindon Facility, whether undertaking by internal resource or by external contractors.

You will report to the Commissioning Manager and is responsible for providing day to day technical support for the plant control system as well as establishing standards for system development to improve the plant operation as well as reduce issues such as alarm flooding and excessive interlocking.

About you -

  • BEng in Instrumentation, Control, Process Engineering or related degree
  • Basic understanding of project execution and planning.
  • Significant experience working in the Instrument and Control Engineering field.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Experience in analysing and problem solving.
  • Good knowledge of standard international specifications and codes associated with Instrumentation and Control.
  • Good knowledge of PLC programming and DCS integration.
