Control Systems Engineer- SCADA - Hampshire

Our client, a leading supplier of stand-alone machines and fully integrated production lines for the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a talented Automation SCADA Software Engineer.

Based in Hampshire, this role involves designing and delivering control systems to support global projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SCADA, HMI, and PLC design, and will be responsible for preparing and reviewing system documentation, planning and organizing development, and producing controls design within budget.

Additional responsibilities include technical support, managing and developing standards, and working with OPC UA/DA.

The candidate should possess knowledge of software scripting (e.g., C Script, VBA, C#), virtualization environments (ESXi, Hyper-V), and network architectures.

A proven background in control system software design, with experience in GE iFix SCADA development, VBA scripting, Microsoft SQL, Siemens Step 7, Siemens TIA portal for PLC and HMI development, and Rockwell PLC and HMI development, is preferred.

The role requires a relevant HNC/D and 5+ years of software design experience, along with excellent communication and organization skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and experience in commissioning and fault finding on industrial equipment.

This permanent, full-time position requires 20% travel, and offers the opportunity to work in an ISO 9001 quality environment.
