We are supporting a specialist manufacturing business in their search for a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will be joining a team of seven working on multiple projects. The Controls Engineering team undertake a wide variety of tasks in a highly regulated sector, working to the highest industry standards. Working in multi-disciiplinary project teams, you will design, develop, install and maintain industrial equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. The bulk of systems programming is in Siemens S7 and Rockwell Automation. This position is day shift only, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week,

Core duties include:
  • Designing and developing new control systems
  • Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems
  • Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
  • Project management within cost and time constrained environments
  • Providing advice and support on how to overcome technical issues
  • Writing computer software and test procedures
  • Implementing continuous improvement programme to maintain and increase production
  • Review and modify PLC programmes in line with plant requirements
  • Produce new code and be able to modify existing PLC/SCADA programmes
