Controls Engineer

Seeking a Skilled Controls Engineer for an Exciting 6-Month Subsea Vehicles Contract in Newcastle.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced controls engineer to join our team on a six-month contract basis. Our client, who specializes in subsea vehicles manufacturing, requires someone with expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI, manufacture and assembly support as well as technical documentation skills.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

PLC Programming:
- Proficiency developing programs using Siemens Automation software
- Experience configuring Siemens systems

SCADA / HMI Development:
- Ability to develop complex graphical user interfaces
- Familiarity working with Siemens WinCC or similar platforms

Manufacture and Assembly Support;
- Knowledge of electrical control panel layouts
- Understanding of cable routing requirements

Technical Documentation Management;
- Previous experience producing detailed wiring diagrams/operation manuals.
- Excellent written communication abilities

Client Support :
- Proven ability delivering high-level customer service
- Capable managing stakeholder expectations while ensuring project milestones achieved within the defined timeline

Location : The position is based at our facility located conveniently close to Newcastle city center.

Rate : We offer competitive compensation rates starting from £45 per hour.

Contract type: This role is outside IR35 regulations offering you more flexibility around tax obligations.
