A friendly, supportive and progressive law firm is seeking a conveyancing assistant to support a solicitor within this reputable conveyancing team. 

This is a full-time permanent position in the firm’s Swadlincote office. The firm offers opportunities to progress, genuine work/life balance and a supportive working environment.

You'll be joining a very well established residential conveyancing department headed up by an experienced property solicitor. Your new role will see you working closely alongside, providing full legal assistant support on a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion. 

Your role will include: 

  • Preparing correspondence and documents using audio typing, word processing or digital dictation methods
  • Attending daily post meetings, administer filing systems to include daily filing of post and dealing with work as delegated by the fee earner
  • Maintaining and updating the case management system in a timely and efficient manner
  • Deal with client ID checks, populating P4W with case details and preparing the file for work by the fee earner
  • Deal with file closures and associated administration

To be considered for this role our client is looking for:

  • Previous experience of admin within a conveyancing team
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise 
  • A positive attitude
