Role: Commercial Property Legal Secretary

Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30pm – 6pm

Reed Legal are in search of a Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join a growing, well-established, corporate Law Firm based in Bishops Stortford.

Description

  • Perform audio typing from digital dictation, ensuring all correspondence and documents are accurate and adhere to in-house style before sending.
  • Professionally respond to clients in person or by telephone, providing appropriate updates on the current status of any file.
  • Manage diaries by scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and maintaining a daily-checked diary with the fee earner.
  • Handle file and case management, including bill preparation.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of clients, their matters, and the overall work.

The Person

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Legal Secretary.
  • Knowledgeable on Commercial property.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new systems and various working methods.
  • Work comfortably both in a team and independently, always ready to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues.
  • Exhibit emotional intelligence with a compassionate and professional demeanour.
  • Anticipate problems and identify effective solutions.
  • Be confident, assured, and presentable.
  • Earn and maintain the respect and confidence of your colleagues.
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Take a proactive approach to your work.
