A little about this role

The post holder will take a lead with the co-ordination of programmes, projects and activities that build partnerships between patients/service users, carers, service providers to bring about changes to adult secure services, organisational culture and individual lives as per the St Andrew’s Co-Production Framework. The role will also lead and build on the innovative approach to engaging, supporting and developing patients/service users and carer active involvement with the development of secure services.

Co-production is a way of working that involves people who use health and care services, carers and communities in equal partnership; and which engages groups of people at the earliest stages of service design, development and evaluation. The context of the role within St Andrew’s is to support the engagement of patients, carers and their families in the development of quality improvement initiatives that improve the delivery of services within the Birmingham hospital and share learning across the St Andrews charity.
