We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled ACA or CTA-qualified professional to enhance the Corporate Tax Department. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about tax compliance and advisory services, and thrive in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Oversight: Take charge of a diverse client portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance tasks. This includes:
    • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, and handling related HMRC enquiries.
    • Preparing deferred tax calculations, tax reconciliations, and disclosures for statutory accounts.
    • Managing a quarterly payments schedule and issuing reminders.
    • Addressing internal and external queries regarding tax computations.

  • Tax Advisory Support: Contribute to various tax advisory tasks such as drafting EMI option documentation, EIS advance clearance letters, and supporting due diligence processes.

  • Team Development: Play an integral role in the training and mentoring of junior staff, fostering a learning environment within the team.

Candidate Profile:
  • Qualifications: ACA or CTA certification preferred, with experience in corporate tax management.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
    • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
    • Self-motivation and a profound interest in tax-related matters.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Alphatax are advantageous.
    • Competence in interpreting and applying tax legislation.
    • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
