Our client is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a dynamic team at a well-established Chartered Accountancy firm. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives under challenge, is delivery-focused, enjoys accountability, and possesses a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Day to Day of the role:
- Conducting Corporate Tax reviews for all audit clients.
- Developing a good working knowledge of R&D to become the firm’s specialist and support clients with their ongoing needs.
- Engaging in Corporate Tax restructuring and Tax due diligence to support Partners and clients on an ad hoc basis.
- Assisting with the preparation of Research and Development Tax Credit claims.
- Identifying planning and advisory opportunities.
- Dealing with ad hoc queries from the wider firm when required.
- Handling EIS/SEIS advanced assurance, completion of EIS forms, and Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) planning and reporting.
- Managing ATED in-year notification and year-end reporting.
- Acting as the firm’s go-to specialist for deferred tax.
- Assisting with technical VAT queries and implications of corporate restructures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ATT/CTA qualified or working towards it.
- Experience in Corporate/Business tax compliance.
- Some advisory knowledge and experience in identifying advisory opportunities and developing business.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A flexible team worker who aligns with the firm’s values.
- Ability to spot and implement tax planning opportunities.
