Title: Join our team as a Nuclear Cost Engineer in Bridgwater, Somerset

Introductory Paragraph:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join their engineering team as a Contract Nuclear Cost Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cost activities within the nuclear sector using NEC3 contract frameworks.

Rotation: 10/4
Location: Hinkley Point C Power Station (Somerset)
Accommodation allowance of £1140 per month.
Mileage paid on first and last day of trip
Paid Holiday - 25 days plus Bank Hols
8% Pension (matched)

Key Skills

* Provide daily CEMAR co-ordination
* Produce and maintain Compensation Event (CE), Early Warnings (EW), General Communications (GC), Contractor Instructions (CI) and Variation Orders (VO)
* Ensure stakeholder actions are carried out within the required timescales
* Secretary for weekly change meetings
* Track and follow all Compensation Event actions and facilitate the QS, estimators and planners in production of the CE quotations.
* Maintain and update the CE register and other such reports

Skills & Experience:

Cost Management
As part of your responsibilities, you'll need experience working with budgets throughout projects' lifecycle. You should have experience creating accurate forecasts and reports on costs incurred while providing recommendations that ensure better alignment between budgeted amounts versus actual spending trends.

NEC3 Frameworks
You must possess significant knowledge about contractual agreements based on NEC 3 frameworks utilized by clients operating within the British nuclear industry.

Industry Background
Previous work exposure dealing directly with various stakeholders involved in large-scale industrial operations involving hazardous materials such as radiation handling protocols at sites employing high-risk procedures.

Location Details:
The position is located in Bridgwater, Somerset; therefore applicants from neighbouring cities are welcome to apply if they can relocate temporarily during this contracting period.
