As our next Cost Estimating Coach, your main responsibility is to guide, deliver, and implement cost-estimating projects and strategies for our UK manufacturing clients. Your role involves driving our clients' businesses forward by creating new opportunities and refining existing processes. Your key objectives will be to oversee cost-down projects by analysing current costing strategies, future costing objectives, and current processes for a range of UK manufacturing businesses.

To excel in this role, you will need to influence change through coaching strategies, using your wealth of cost-estimating experience gained within the industry. The focus is not just to implement your ideas, but to strategically coach and mentor your clients through collaboration and shared ideas.

You will provide operational execution of business transformation projects, leading a variety of companies and individuals. Key account management will involve nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in various manufacturing organisations, identifying additional opportunities, articulating strategies, and using them to generate further business prospects and development.

As a Cost Estimating Coach within SIG, you will have the opportunity to initiate change through influence. Your mission is to deliver and drive business growth for our clients.

The Key Requirements...

  • Experience in cost estimating and leadership within manufacturing
  • At least five years of experience delivering cost-estimating projects and initiatives
  • Experience in influencing senior leadership teams and functions, resulting in tangible business growth and project wins
  • Experience in leading business transformation and delivering value and growth

The role requires a hands-on approach, where you actively participate rather than just delegating tasks. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at understanding the needs and priorities of our clients. You will need to prioritise their needs, articulate strategies and plans confidently, and uncover value while translating them into practical solutions.
