Costs Draftperson/LawyerLocation: Manchester
Salary: Up to £50,000, dependent on experience

Role Overview: An award-winning UK law firm, known for its high-calibre litigation services, is looking for an experienced Costs Draftsperson/Lawyer to join its established team. Supporting senior handlers on all aspects of legal costs, from low-value disputes and fixed recoverable costs to high-value, complex matters across personal injury, clinical negligence, and commercial litigation. This is a Manchester-based role offering long-term development and flexibility.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed:
  • 5+ PQE in legal costs drafting
  • Proven experience drafting costs budgets, bills of costs, Points of Dispute, Replies, and Schedules of Costs
  • Comfortable with advocacy and attending hearings
  • Experience managing a caseload and negotiating settlements
  • Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Detailed Assessment process
  • Experience with Proclaim Case Management and CostsMaster software
  • A flexible approach, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication and negotiation skills
