Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to join a top Asset Manager in the Counterparty Onboarding Team, you will have exposure to the day-to-day running's of an investment company within the operations team.

The team supports LGIM's trading and investment activities onboarding brokers across asset classes and markets, as well as client and product teams through the onboarding of new funds in advance of fund launch. We are looking for a candidate who is keen to make the most of the variety this role offers in supporting several different facets of onboarding.

What you'll be doing:
  • The primary function of this role is to support LGIM's trading & investment activities by ensuring all required brokers and funds, across all relevant instruments and markets, are set-up ready to support the trading and investment activity.
  • Working & maintaining relevant documentation with Custodians to open custody accounts in emerging & frontier markets.
  • Working to strict deadlines to support the teams fund launches.
  • Providing effective support to all key stakeholders and ensuring they are informed of the status of the set-up
  • Participate in other aspects of the OTC/broker operational onboarding process as required.
  • Maintain good relationships with the internal legal team & external counterparties; regularly review outstanding issues to ensure a high level of service is provided.
  • Adhere to current procedures, controls and checklists
  • Contribute to projects alongside BAU to achieve team or broader organisation targets.
Qualifications

  • 2.1 Degree in any subject. - we are open to all subject backgrounds
  • An analytical and numeracy mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and teamwork.
  • High energy, dynamism, and commitment.
  • Proficiency in IT (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organised with effective prioritisation.
