Key Responsibilities:
 
Conduct thorough risk assessments of the bank’s counterparties, including financial institutions, corporations, and other entities involved in trading activities.
Analyze and monitor exposure to counterparty risk across various financial products, including derivatives, securities lending, and repo transactions.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, outlining potential risks and recommended mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams, including trading, risk management, and compliance, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of counterparty risks.
Stay updated with market trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact counterparty risk.
Assist in the development and implementation of counterparty risk policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.
Participate in risk committee meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
 
Qualifications:
 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in counterparty risk analysis or a related risk management role within an investment banking environment.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Bloomberg, Excel, and risk management systems.
