Job Overview:
Role: Cover Supervisor
Location: Shrewsbury
Key Stages: Secondary Schools (KS3 - KS5)

Your Role -
As a Cover Supervisor you will be tasked with the continuation of education for students in the absence of their usual Class Teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons left by a subject specialist teacher this is often in the form of worksheets, working from a textbook or working from a PowerPoint. Every day as a Cover Supervisor is different one day you could be covering Art and the next it could be Maths. Don't worry you aren't expected to be a specialist in every subject just have a can do attitude and be flexible and able to think on your feet to manage the classroom.

Requirements -

Confident / Excellent verbal skills
Ideally have experience working with young people as a Sports Coach, Scout Leader or similar
Ability to built rapport with students quickly
Ideally be degree Qualified or studying for a degree
You will need a DBS we can run one for you if needed
Safeguarding training will need to be completed - we provide this free of charge!
