Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Various Schools across Alfreton

About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing essential support to schools across Alfreton. This role involves stepping in on short notice to cover classes when a teacher is absent. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students' education, ensuring that lessons proceed smoothly with the provided plans and that students remain engaged and on track.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
Support and encourage students to complete their work effectively.
Work with Key Stage 3 and 4 students, adapting to their varying needs.
Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and any issues.
Requirements:

Flexibility to work on a day-to-day basis, often with short notice.
Ability to travel between different schools in Alfreton (driving essential due to the nature of late calls).
Strong classroom management skills.
Confidence in delivering lessons across different subjects.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students of different ages and abilities.
Previous experience in a similar role or in education is desirable but not essential.
