Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding role in a Secondary School? We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated General Cover Supervisor to join our team at a Secondary school in Stoke on Trent from September 2024.

Requirements:

- A bachelor's degree in any discipline

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience working with children is preferred but not essential

As a General Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a supportive and engaging learning environment for students. Your responsibilities will include supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students are engaged in their work, and managing any behavioural issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering pre-set work provided by the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and focused

- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm classroom environment

- Managing any challenging behaviours effectively and following the school's behaviour management policies

- Building rapport with students and establishing positive relationships within the school community

- Assisting students with their learning and providing support as required

- Collaborating with the teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in any discipline and a genuine passion for working with young people. You should have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents. Experience working with children, although not essential, would be advantageous.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
