Are you familiar with the responsibilities and expectations of a cover supervisor in a secondary school setting?

Can you describe how you would manage a classroom of secondary students during teacher absence or scheduled cover periods?

Do you have experience implementing lesson plans and ensuring continuity of learning in various subjects?

In this role, your primary objective will be to ensure students remain engaged and productive while completing assigned tasks. Your presence will be essential in maintaining motivation and attentiveness among students. You'll actively circulate the classroom, offering assistance to those who need it.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils within a classroom setting
  • Provide a well planned ,purposeful learning environment
  • use imagination to enhance learning experience
  • be observant and manage behaviour and distractions
  • collect in pre set work and return to the appropriate teacher
  • manage the classroom and keep pupils on task


Preferred Skills:

  • Background in working with Education
  • Strong behaviour management
  • strong Classroom management
  • Nurturing and kind demeanour
  • patience and understanding
