Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about education and has the experience to make a significant impact on student learning and development.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of regular teachers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with pre-set work. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students complete the work set by the regular teacher.
  • Manage student behaviour in accordance with the school's policies, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Provide assistance and support to students as needed, helping them to understand and complete their work.
  • Report on student progress and any issues that arise during cover lessons to the appropriate teacher or school leadership.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and school activities as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational role is essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
