Role Description:

During your time as a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an instrumental role in preserving the continuity of education in schools across the Harrow area, focused on covering classes during Teacher absences. The role offers the opportunity to supervise multiple subjects and year groups, which will allow you to get a good feel for what you enjoy most, while also keeping every day unique!

Who We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience as a cover supervisor.
• Recent graduates looking for hands-on experience within the classroom.
• Interested in teaching and would like to try it out while earning!

Relevant Skills & Experience:

• Strong literacy & numeracy skills. GCSE Grade C, NVQ3 or equivalent in English & Maths.
• Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to work and collaborate as part of a wider team.
• A good understanding and awareness of child safeguarding practices. Any certifications or qualifications are highly desired by our Schools!
• Proficient user of technology, such as Microsoft Office packages and how to use them effectively in the classroom.

General Duties:

• Supervision and management of a lesson already set out for a class.
• Management of pupil behaviour & implementation of school pupil policy surrounding behaviour
• Ability to cover/supervise a range of subjects and key stages.
• Making sure pupils remain on task.
