Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity? Reed is currently supporting a local Newbury client in their search for a Senior Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is an integral part of the business and will sit within a team of three and you will be responsible for collection of all monies on your own ledger and for delegating clients for the team to contact. This role will be looking after a range of customers from small businesses through to multinational corporations, therefore strong communication skills are essential for this role and the ability to build relationships with existing and new clients.

Duties for the position include,

  • Monitor and manage the credit control processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly
  • Negotiate payment terms when applicable
  • Liaise with customers to resolve non-payment issues
  • Accurate allocation of customer cash receipts
  • Escalate to legal when required

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong experience in Credit Control, either in a standalone position with high volume collections or as part of a larger team. Previous of experience of managing a team is not necessary.

This role is fully office based, with working hours of Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Friday is 8am to 4.30pm with 30 mins for lunch. The business offers free onsite parking and close to local public transport routes.
