Are you an experienced Credit Control professional with a passion for managing financial transactions and ensuring smooth cash flow? The company is a leading provider of site investigation services based in Stockport, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Control / Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Invoicing:
    • Generate and manage sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
  2. Credit Management:
    • Monitor and manage customer credit limits.
    • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing clients.
    • Implement credit control policies to minimize risk and overdue payments.
  3. Debt Collection:
    • Chase outstanding payments and maintain a healthy cash flow.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment issues.
    • Collaborate with other departments to address billing and collection concerns.
  4. Reporting:
    • Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding payments.
    • Provide management with insights into credit control performance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager or similar role.
  2. Knowledge of credit control principles and practices.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  5. Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
