Credit Controller

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join this long-established organisation based in Colchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a personable and confident individual who thrives in a busy environment. You will be working in a small credit control team who all pull together to get the job done and have to work to tight deadlines. Your excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) will be required as you will be dealing with both our external and internal customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collection of circa 800 active accounts in the Credit Control department via telephone, email and letter
  • Ensure that all appropriate action is taken on non- paying accounts by way of payment plan’s
  • To collate and allocate all cheques received into the Credit Control department
  • Have an understanding of GDPR
  • To take credit and debit card payments from clients
  • To complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • To raise new trade accounts and all associated paperwork attached in accordance with Money Laundering Regulation
  • To raise credit reviews
  • To have a general understanding of current legislation concerning collections, including interest , Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act, and Court fees.
