Credit Controller
Location: Dudley
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Working Pattern: On-site, full-time
Start Date: Immediate

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our dynamic team in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute to our company's financial health and grow within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Credit Management: Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Debt Recovery: Proactively contact clients via phone, email, and letters to chase overdue payments and resolve any issues preventing payment.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies or disputes efficiently.
  • Credit Analysis: Assess and analyse the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, setting appropriate credit limits.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of all collection activities, providing regular reports to management on the status of outstanding debts.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any queries regarding their accounts promptly and professionally.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the credit control process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure all credit control activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a credit control.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and disputes promptly and efficiently.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
