Job Title: Permanent Credit Controller

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a great company in Elland as they look to recruit a skilled and experienced Credit Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit management and be proficient in managing the sales ledger/credit control function for a company. Working as part of a small, friendly finance team this is a key role. Applicants must be able to build excellent relationships with customers, whilst pro-actively chasing overdue accounts, monitoring aged debt and reporting accordingly.

Key duties will include:

  • All aspects of Credit Control (including chasing aged debt, setting up new clients, credit credit checking etc.)
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively chasing and managing customer relationships to ensure issues are raised and resolved before payment is due
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Assist with weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Requirement to assist with other accounts tasks as the role develops.as part of a small, friendly team who help eachother

Applicants must have recent experience within Credit Control/Sales Ledger. Good communication skills and a customer focussed approach to work is key.

A working knowledge of Sage or another finance package would be advantageous along with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
