Credit Controller

Bedford - Office based.

£12.82 per hour

Hours - 8am - 5.30pm - 1 hour break

We are recruiting for a UK leading automotive business based in Bedford. We require 2 candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You must have worked previously within a Customer Service role in a call centre or have worked within a Finance/Credit Control role. The role will be contacting customers who have an outstanding payment. You will take the payment over the phone and update the customers records. You must be a self-starter and able to manage your own workload, working to strict deadlines.

The role

  • Contacting customers using various methods and ask for outstanding payments.
  • Taking payments over the phone
  • Follow the company payment process.
  • Liaise with various internal departments to resolve billing issues so payment can be collected swiftly.
  • Taking ownership of disputes until fully resolved
  • Escalate issues to relevant departments.
  • Reach and exceed daily targets.

Skills and experience required.

  • Must have Customer Service Call Centre experience.
  • Must have basic Excel knowledge.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills.
  • Previous Finance or Credit Control experience desired not essential.
  • Must be customer focused.
  • We are looking for curious individuals who can question ways of working to improve to enhance the customer journey.
  • You must be a team player with a positive attitude.
