Central London - hybrid (3 days in office)

£35,000 - £40,000 + benefits

We Do Group is supporting a highly successful financial services group with a newly created credit controller vacancy that will help to drive cashflow and collections across a fast growth division.

We are looking for an ambitious Credit controller who has the ability to take sole charge of the AR ledger in a fast paced, FCA regulated division.

This position works closely with the FC, CFO and Divisional COO and is offering high levels of autonomy.

The Role

The successful Credit Controller will lead on the following:

  • Verifies sales invoicing for accuracy and completeness.
  • Researches and verifies credit data on customers to establish or update lines of credit.
  • Assess, recommend and/or approve credit limits for new and existing accounts.
  • Investigates and resolves customer invoice queries to facilitate payment from, or issuance of, credit to customer.
  • Reviews customer accounts for aging of unpaid balances and pending orders.
  • Chases payments on overdue accounts.
  • Advises on overdue account issues and ensures payment arrangements are secured, determines payment plans/schedules.
  • Maintains a variety of files and records associated with overdue accounts, incomplete files and credit risks.
  • Provides monthly reporting on aged debt and other collection metrics as required.
  • Maintains and updates electronic and/or hard copy files in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all targets are achieved in line with management directives and goals.
  • Work closely with the Operations teams to close down disputes within a timely manner.
  • Supports wider business systems and process change where applicable.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced credit professional who has the confidence to take on a sole credit role in a growing business.

We need someone diligent, detail orientated and driven who has the mindset to add value.

The business is culture is agile and collaborative so you'll need to have the ability to challenge internal and stakeholders when appropriate while pro-actively seeking to make improvements wherever possible.

Experience working in Financial services businesses that operate under FCA regulations would be a bonus but isn't essential.

Salary & Benefits

£35,000 - £40,000 + benefits. This role is based in stunning offices in central London with 3 days per week required in office.
