Credit Controller

Based: Bury (off the M66)

Salary: up to £26k + bonus + benefits + excellent culture with socials!

Our client are a well-established, well-known business based in Bury. Established over 50 years ago, they have grown over the last few years and have a long standing workforce with a great culture and fantastic offices. Due to continued & exciting growth we are recruiting 2 Credit Controllers to join their team. You don’t have to have worked in a pure credit control role but we do require someone with strong customer service skills who has worked on the phone in either a customer service OR collections role

Role:

  • Responsible for your own set of customers, speaking to them to discuss payments & terms ensuring they pay on time
  • Developing strong relationships and solving any queries for them on their accounts
  • Recovering outstanding debt by chasing on the phone, email and letter
  • Sending overdue customers letters in the post and chasing
  • Identifying issues ahead of time and speaking to your Manager in order to resolve
  • Always looking to improve processes/processes in the role to improve efficiencies
  • Heavily involved in implementation of new processes as the team grows
  • Ad hoc reporting for the Manager in the team

Person:

  • Credit control, Customer Service or Complaint Handling experience ESSENTIAL
  • Strong computer and system skills - able to pick up new things
  • Strong at working as part of a team and individually
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
