Join a fantastic local employer as a Credit Controller, playing a pivotal role in managing the debts of this established company, ensuring the timely payment of invoices, and maintaining financial stability. This position is based in Leamington Spa and offers hybrid working with flexible hours, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers, setting appropriate terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate sales ledger records and conduct regular analyses of the credit-control system to reduce bad debts.
  • Address payment issues promptly by reporting them to management.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and payments, implementing the company's collections procedures as necessary.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve debt collection processes.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Process payments and issue refunds as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • Good software skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
