Location:  Somerset but hybrid working

Salary:  £20K - £30K + excellent package and career opportunities

Excellent opportunity working for one of the UK’s fastest growing retail and e-commerce business’s. This role will report to the Trade Credit Underwriting and Legal Specialist and will be fundamental in supporting the management of existing customers debt, ensuring the organisation on boards new businesses in the right way and manages risk appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with customers, building relationships, supporting new applications, credit limit increases and other general account queries
  • Providing advice and guidance on credit applications and risk in accordance with the credit policy. Supporting new credit applications & increases in line with policies and putting forward recommendations to the Trade Credit Underwriting and Legal Specialist
  • Obtain and evaluate customer information from various financial agencies for the purposes of assessing credit risk and worthiness.
  • Investigate suspected fraud matters
  • Support with producing internal reporting on account performance, aged debt, forecasting and KPI’s
  • Preparing accounts for legal action and providing instructions to our legal collection partners throughout the collection and recovery process.

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience of working with credit limits (underwriting / credit vetting), or accounts receivable would be advantageous.
  • Recent graduates would be considered with a relevant degree (Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Law etc…)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business and with third parties.
  • Good Excel skills would be advantageous
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
