Our client, a highly regarded London-based solicitors specialising in crime, family law and human rights have an opening for a Crimnal Billing Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Costs department within the Finance team, providing general assistance to the billing team.
  • Main duties include:
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Legal Aid billing co-ordinator with regards to sending files out to cost drafter and checking bills on return.
  • Submission of bills to Court and LAA for assessment.
  • Preparing and submitting claims for Payment on Account (POA) to the LAA.
  • Preparation of basic cost schedules using excel.
  • Helping on various projects including inactive matters, residual balances and file destruction.
  • Any other ad hoc duties required by the team

Candidate Profile

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent ability to manage time and work in a busy environment
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Good attention to detail
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C or equivalent
