Location: Byramsmuir Road, Holytown, Motherwell

Pay Rate: £15.07

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 18:00 to 05:00 - 38.5 hours per week - This is a variable shift pattern working on a 4 on 4 off system.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a CTP Engineer (Pre Press Technical Support) to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Motherwell.

As a Pre-Press Operative, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of printing plates using computer-to-plate (CTP) technology. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute directly to the success of our client's printing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process digital files for printing plates using CTP systems.

- Inspect and troubleshoot files to ensure they meet quality standards.

- Collaborate with the production team to optimize print output.

- Maintain and calibrate CTP equipment.

- Monitor plate production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly.

- Assist with day shifts as needed, maintaining flexibility in your work schedule.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Requirements:

    - Experience in pre-press operations, specifically with CTP technology. (advantageous however, training will be given)

    - Proficiency in industry-standard software. (advantageous however, training will be given)

    - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    - Willingness to work night shifts as the primary schedule.

    Qualifications:

    - Relevant vocational or technical qualifications in pre-press or graphic arts.

    - Familiarity with printing processes and plate-making techniques.

    - However, training will be given to the right candidate.
