An exciting opportunity has arisen, starting on 7th July 2025.

A company specialising in promoting art and culture related to Japan is seeking a Culture & Art Projects Assistant to join their team.
This role is offered on a temporary contract basis, provisionally from early July 2025 until the end of October 2025.
Some interest in and understanding of Japanese language and culture would be advantageous.

Work type: On-site (occasional work from home option available)

TYPE: Temporary, until 31st Oct 2025 (TBC, * There may be a possibility of transitioning to permanent employment after this period)

SALARY: £12.55-14.78 per hour plus holiday pay

START: 7th Jul 2025

WORKING HOURS: Mon-Fri, 09:30 - 17:30

**Event period you’ll be expected to work over weekends + some overtime

LOCATION: London (west) office / on-site, with occasional remote work available (up to 2 days per week)

Culture & Art Projects Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Preparing documents such as programmes and questionnaires
  • Managing visitors before the event (compiling online data, contacting VIPs)
  • Providing on-the-day support at events, including distributing materials and assisting visitors
  • Supporting marketing and PR efforts (including the creation of digital flyers)
  • Compiling and managing feedback via questionnaires
  • Handling general administrative duties, such as sending materials
  • Assisting with communications involving external parties (e.g. co-organisers, sponsors)

Culture & Art Projects Assistant Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Interest in Japanese culture and the arts
  • Experience with social media and image editing software (e.g. Photoshop) would be advantageous
  • Japanese business language skills would be a plus
