Customer Liaison Officer

Pay: £15.43

Location: Civic Centre Milton Keynes- onsite only

Length: 3-6 months

Working pattern: 37 hours Monday-Friday

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council for a Customer Liaison Officer to join the Childrens Social Care department supporting with enquiries in relation to child protection, safeguarding and family support.

You will deal with enquiries by telephone, fax, e-mail and face to face, elicit and gather information, problem solve and manage difficult situations.

  • Answering the duty line employing a diverse range of communication methods.
  • Undertake a variety of tasks and applications for the benefit of customers and Social Workers such as booking taxis, travel, hotels, ordering food parcels, issuing bus passes, Tesco vouchers, weekly allowances via Post Office electronic payment, etc.
  • Recording information accurately on the Children's Services database, e.g. details of the call, uploading receipts to children's records, updating spreadsheets
  • Responsible for answering queries from external agencies through reviewing data on recording systems and responding in line with data protection and the scope of service provision.
  • To carry out all tasks with due regard for council policies and procedures and to promote the principles of non-discriminatory practice.

The successful candidate will have strong administration skills and experience in a customer facing environment.
