Customer Service Advisor – Night Team
Employment Type: Full-time
Duration of the Post: Temporary ongoing
Salary: £13.82 per hour
Working hours: 21:00pm-6:00am Mon-Fri.

The Customer Service Advisor – Night Team will offer advice and guidance to prospective and existing students on various accommodation matters, including maintenance repairs, well-being, and complaints. Reporting to the Team Leader and Customer Service Manager, they will ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues, statutory checks, and effective communication within the residences. Their goal is to create a positive experience for our residents by promoting excellent customer care, problem-solving, community-building, and conflict resolution.

Job Summary
As a Customer Service Advisor – Night Team, you will provide support to a designated area, including visitors, administration, staff, and students. Your responsibilities will include managing incoming mail and deliveries, handling initial requests and queries, and flexibly using resources across different areas of the department or the wider University.

Main Duties
Meet and Greet: Be the professional and friendly first point of contact for all customers and visitors in your designated area. Ensure that the person being visited is aware of visitor arrivals.
Phone Handling: Answer incoming calls courteously and professionally, directing callers to the appropriate individuals.
Query Resolution: Respond to and resolve queries without unnecessary escalation, including complaint handling.
System Reporting: Promptly report system failures or maintenance issues, tracking progress and escalating as needed. Manage requisition orders and ensure goods are received and invoiced correctly.
Phone Messages: Take accurate phone messages, relay them via email, and maintain clear records.
Office Supplies: Keep office supplies stocked and reorder as necessary.
Reception Area: Maintain a neat and tidy reception area, replenishing marketing material and creating a comfortable atmosphere.
Hospitality: Offer refreshments to waiting visitors.
Welcome Board: Keep announcements current on the Welcome Board.
Administrative Tasks: Perform word processing, photocopying, laminating, filing, and data input.

This role is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate.
