Customer Service Advisor

Location: Birmingham City Centre (very close to New Street / Snow Hill Station)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 or 09.30-17.30
Salary: £22,500 - £25,000

Job Summary: Our client are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Advisor to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer interactions and ensuring the smooth processing of orders and returns. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and proficiency in basic Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of Back Orders: Ensure that all back orders are processed, monitored and updated regularly to provide accurate status to customers.
  • Create Credit Notes for Returns: Process credit notes for returned items promptly and accurately.
  • Process Orders: Support sales representatives by generating orders for missing/ back orders of out of stock items and ensuring all orders are processed efficiently.
  • Parcel Tracking: Monitor and track parcels to provide customers with accurate delivery information, liaising with external courier companies.
  • Order Issues: Resolve any issues related to orders promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Generate Customer Lists for Samples/Incentives: Utilise Google Docs and Excel to create and manage customer lists for sample distribution and promotional incentives.
  • Progress Chasing with Warehouse/Accounts: Follow up with the warehouse and accounts departments to ensure timely order fulfilment and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Liaise with Design and Provide Media Packs: Coordinate with the design team to compile and distribute media packs as required by customers.
  • Inbound and Outbound Calling: Handle both inbound and outbound calls to assist customers with their inquiries and provide updates on their orders.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in basic Excel (formulas & data input).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with Google Docs is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
