Customer Service Advisor x 2

£23k- £25k dependant on experience

1 Full time permanent position

1 Temporary Maternity cover 9-12 months potential to become permanent

Office based DN6 7FB

Role Overview

  • To portray and maintain a professional, attentive, helpful service to the client database.  
  • To deliver a positive experience on all contacts made. 
  • To represent the Company in a polite, efficient manner at all times.
  • Responsible for the account management of their allocated customer portfolio

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing with all queries over email and telephone.
  • Process faxed orders and Email orders.
  • Process Transfer orders, adding on relevant supplier information and order requests.
  • Check customer orders received electronically, meet set deadlines.
  • Advise and help customers with out of stock situations.
  • Maintain a back order report, releasing immediately on receipt of stock from suppliers.
  • Filing, matching of paperwork and end of month archiving.
  • Splitting and scanning of all paperwork.
  • Raise Purchase Credit Requests when necessary. (PCR)
  • Control and respond to all insurance claims.
  • Dealing with claims of short/damaged goods.
  • Arrange and process through any returns.
  • Liaise with all departments to conclude any irrelevant investigations.
  • Complete and investigate all Q Plus relevant actions. (Quality Management System)
  • Produce any necessary reports when requested by other departments
  • Hospitality for all visiting guests
  • Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines in place
  • To be flexible in working sufficient hours to ensure the needs of the Company are met.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as directed by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the company. 

Essential Skills

  • Pleasant disposition.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Computer literacy in all MS office and in house order system (Full training will be given)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Must have GCSE Grade C and above in Maths and English.

Desirable Skills

  • At least 2 years Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Educated with GCSE grade c and above
