Our client, a professional company in Basildon, has an exciting opportunity for a Customs Documentation Clerk to join them on a permanent basis. Full training provided for a candidate with high attention to detail, who is keen to learn and wants a career within the logistics sector.

Duties for this excellent opportunity will involve:-

  • Extensive data entry duties, creating UK import/export customs entries in the system
  • Learning and understanding the documentation required relating to a customs clearance
  • Liaising with third parties including internal and external partners to coordinate and clear shipments
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and maintaining a positive relationship with customers and suppliers

Requirements for this role:-

  • Strong work ethic and eager to learn and progress within the logistics sector.
  • Confident and professional customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills.
  • Committed and able to deal with challenging scenarios/tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised with a proactive approach to work.
  • Diligent, accurate and reliable.
  • Able to complete and pass a DBS check.

In return for your hard work our client is offering a competitive salary, full training and career opportunities. This role is 100% office based 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5:30pm daily. Ideally this candidate will have customs clearance experience and a minimum of 1 year's customs imports experience.
