Cyber Security Analyst

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be critical in safeguarding all IT systems. Ideally, you'd have a strong understanding of cyber security principles and a passion for staying ahead of emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities
* Monitor, analyse and investigate security incidents detected by Microsoft 365 Defender, including conducting threat-hunting activities.
* Participate in incident response activities, including coordination, containment, and remediation.
* Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks in line with business and compliance requirements.
* Utilize Microsoft Purview for data discovery to fulfil subject access requests and support information security investigations.
* Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Defender, including Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Attack Surface Reduction, Secure Score, and Vulnerability Management tools.
* Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g. KQL, PowerShell).
* Knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, as well as common cybersecurity frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST Controls.
