Data protection and Cyber Security Officer - £26K - £28.8K - Remote/Hybrid

I'm working with a client in the public sector parking and traffic regulations industry who is looking for a recent Cyber Security graduate to be appointed as their Data Protection and Cyber Security Officer.

In this job you will:

  • Take ownership of and serve as the main point of contact for setting up and amending user profiles for the Case Management System (currently FOAM), ensuring adherence to IT policies.
  • Handle non-case Data Protection, FOI, and GDPR-related queries promptly and efficiently, providing high-quality, accurate, and customer-focused responses in writing, via email, and by telephone.
  • Work with the Technology Manager on reporting, managing, and rectifying breaches, errors, or issues affecting data security or integrity. Notify affected parties and escalate potentially serious issues within statutory timeframes.

  • To reduce the number of Security Incidents through risk management and keeping personal knowledge up to date on emerging trends and threats.
