We design, install and support cabling for Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat6a and Cat7 enhancing current networks to be future-proof as standard.

Our in-house teams of commercial data cable installers create intelligent, versatile, expandable, cost-effective systems that fit every business need, and our qualified engineers have years of experience in all sectors including Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Retail, Schools, Universities and commercial properties.

F&D Tech Solutions are looking for data cabling engineers with the following requirements:

  • Experience in surveying, with advanced IT/computer literacy to report on findings of surveys
  • Experience working in a similar internal data cabling role/data centres
  • The ability to read architectural drawings
  • Comprehensive experience in the installation of Cat5e, 6, 6a and fibre cabling
  • The ability to prepare quantities from specifications and drawings
  • Have an excellent understanding of health and safety practice
  • Experienced in setting up, using and understanding Fluke DSX8000/5000 results, or similar test equipment
  • Experienced in the safe and correct use of access equipment and power tools
  • Hold an ECS or CSCS skills card, designating your trade
  • Able to demonstrate good written, phone and in-person communication skills
  • No criminal record
  • A full clean driver's license

Further details:

  • Multiple positions with base locations around the M25 corridor and Essex areas
  • A maximum of 2 - 3 days per month working away
  • Experience installing your own metal trunking, metal tray-work containment
  • There is an expectation of travel with these positions, this equates to max. 90 mins driving per day, each way

Pay: up to £40,000.00 per year based on experience
